We are currently looking to appoint a PYP Coordinator & Primary Teacher starting September 2026.
✅ The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education (Magisterio o Grado en Educación Primaria).
- Strong knowledge and experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
- A native or near-native level of English (C2/bilingual/native).
- Spanish is highly desirable.
- At least 2 years of experience in similar roles (PYP teaching and/or coordination).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A valid work permit to work in Andorra/European Union.
- Availability to start with us on 1 September 2026.
📌 Main responsibilities:
As PYP Coordinator:
- Lead the implementation, development, and evaluation of the Primary Years Programme across the school.
- Ensure alignment with IB standards and practices.
- Coordinate collaborative planning among Primary teachers and maintain the Programme of Inquiry.
- Support teachers in PYP methodology, inquiry-based learning, and assessment practices.
- Act as the liaison between the school and the IB organisation.
- Organise and support the PYP Exhibition process.
- Facilitate professional development and training for staff.
- Ensure documentation, curriculum mapping, and evidence of learning remain accurate and up to date.
As Primary Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and inquiry-based lessons aligned with the PYP framework.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Foster students’ critical thinking, communication skills, and independence.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and assessment tools.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to learners and families.
- Work collaboratively with the Primary team to ensure a coherent and enriching educational experience.
